Afternoon Post
19 August 2005 16:24Nothing like a few conversations with people to make sense out of everything.
Last night with Bill was wonderful, my Thai food turned out not bad. Had a good long talk about the Mayo Foundation.
Slept in this a.m., and got up in time to meet the maddness at the amish furniture store tent sale. OMG, the economy must be good, cause people were throwing money around like it was candy at a fucking parade. I'm talking THOUSANDS. Saw a mission table and chair set that was 2 die for, however at 1,550.00 with No delievery, not so much. I passed it up, shortly before a lady took one look at it and said, "Sold".
Goldrush, the tri-anual event was today, although lately I havn't been in the antique, flea market mode (Have I lost the will to live?), and scurred around.
Saw some EXCELLENT a and C pieces that I would of LOVED to have. A period metal vase, a great accent end table, a hall tree, amazing.
Photos to be comming, but in the last 24 hours I spent 900.00 (apx). Overtime boys and girls? Which I got four pieces of mission furniture, which I didn't think was too bad, and I did find a dinning room table.
My washer is still broke, paint chips on the car (which needs a BATH), my house is a mess, and I'm happy....
