Adventures in Scrounge Land

Ran out to Goodwill today (aka Scrounge land), not because I "needed" or Looking, for anything. Mainly, I needed a little pick me up. Also I had to run to the bank and the store, therefore I could get it all done in one place instead of driving around all over tarnation.

What I found was 2 hunky salvation/mormon workers that were HOT. Dressed in White shirts with polyester slacks goodness. YUMMY. I would of surely paid my one dollar and 99 cents to shove them over the second hand pair of shoes and have my way with them. Truth me known, my gay-dar went off. After some carefull manuver on my part, I did manage to shove them in my cart, except the damn cashier nazi wouldn't let me check out with them. O well..maybe another time!

Hmmm....but what dept. do you ring them up under? If they don't have the code they can't ring! LOL! I've got 3 boxes to donate to goodwill. Took 2 last week and only managed to come back with one pair of pants and 4 vintage photos!

I think they would ring under "toys". One had some clothes hanging off of his pants, they would ring under clothing!!!

I have a week off in March with no plans. Need to make a few piles for Goodwill/Ebay/ and a rummage sale to be held this summer. I have too much crap. I'm being more selective as to what I pick up in scrounge land.

I get a completely unnecessary high from going to goodwill. Once a couple years ago I got way lost on the way to a job interview and instead wound up at the salvation army and brought home a whole box of junk I didn't need without ever making it to the job site. There is a thrift store right next door to my bank and it always takes all my energy not to stop in and spend all the money I need to deposit.

I love to go when I am still sleepy cause it wakes me up. When I am traveling, I seek out thrift stores on PUPROSE, cause I find the greatest stuff there, specially when I am traveling! I love it!

Its quite the addiction, but I am getting better telling myself, that I don't need it.
