My weekend trip to Palm Springs, to see John and Doug, got canceled. Without much advance warning or notice. The passengers on Sun Country flight 615 got an e-mail after a 2 hour delay and several gate changes. The choice was either rebook (for tomorrow) or Refund. Reason: weather. It was raining in Palm Springs. And SUn Country, was not giving any more than a rebook or Refund. Peeps were not happy.
Ended up getting in the line for the ticket counter to check on the refund, and the 2 ladies ahead of me, were in the same boat, decided to fly to Phoenix, one of them had a car waiting, and drive 4 hours into Palm Springs. They invited me along with, and I'm regretting not taking them up on their offer. Who wouldn't want a road trip with a total of 3 strangers on a thursday night?? However who knows if I was going to be able to get on the Phoenix flight, and other factors.... I took my refund and headed home.
I got up this morning, spent the majority of the time in an airport, to find that my flight got canceled, and had to turn right around and get back on the shuttle, to the car lot, to an hour and a half home. And probably house confinement for the weekend. I'll go back to work on Monday.
There were about 8 people in masks, and not all were respirators. Not much talk about it, and the airport became busier as the day continued. When I arrived this morning, it was pretty empty. Stopped at Wal-mart and it was clear of toliet paper. Seriously.
So I guess it's bong hits for Jesus all weekend, and trying to figure out what to do.
