I got off of work this a.m. after a hellish shift, that i won't even begin to dive into. Let's just say, I am counting down the hours till i am away from that hell hole for awhile.
I went worked out, and then picked up my dry-cleaning. My tux fucking ROCKS, and then went to the gap and got a nice cheap leather coat.. it was on clearance..
..got home and crawled into bed, after getting manic on the computer.... I thought I would crash and burn and be out like a light..obviously not.
My chest started to hurt. Bad. I couldn't get comfortable, felt like shit, nausated, and it was right in the center of my chest. I took some juice, and my zoloft, and nothing seemed to help. I first thought that my zoloft got stuck in my throat, but that wasn't the cast. This chest "discomfort" lasted for over an hour, and it wasn't getting any better....about 8/10 pain scale. I didn't know what to do, if i should go in, if I should just waiver it. SO I called the Mayo Help line and talked to a nurse. She stated that it could be cardiac related, and that I should call 911. This wasn't an option. I wasn't going to call fucking 911. I told her I would have someone drive me to ER. I didn't think it was cardiac related, but it hurt like a SOB, and nothing was helping. SO, like a dumb ass, I went, had a smoke.. well 2, and drove myself to the ER. I thought if i was having a heart attack, driving into a pole couldn't be much worst...
By the time I Got to the er, i felt like shit. the pain was bad, and I was nauseated, dizzy ect. They checked me in. 130/83, 80, 100% on room air. They checked me into a room, and the Dr. came in. Long story short, after an ECG later (and big thanks for the tech who read me the results before the dr), they decided it might be GI related, and then hunk of a nurse, Kyle brought in a "GI COCKTAIL". Let me tell you, that the GI cocktail, was the MOST NASTY SHIT I have ever had. I just about puked. It was FUCKING NASTY SHIT. They let me rest and d/c'd me.
Anyway, I kind of felt like a dumb ass.....should i have known better, should I have waivered it...(specially the nice ER Bill that will soon be commming), or was it worth it. I really felt like it was more than heart burn, and I NEVER have heart burn. IT was just wierd being on the other side of the bench.. being in the pt role, and seeing how the MAYO er works. I have ONLY gone to the er once before, and that was because I had a VERY bad case of the bottle flu (i puked for over 24 hours from drinking), so i am not one to seek medical attention. I have to basically be dying to go in.
I felt really stupid becuase A) I hadn't showerd B) I hadn't slept and C) I had jerked off before the chest "discomfort" started, and I wonder if the cum still showed on my chest... "Things that make you go hmmmmmm".....
I just don't know if I was right going in or not... either which way, I got a sexy mayo name band, I may just keep it on.. it's quiet fashionable...
