Rochester Magazine is a quarterly that features information on the city, and life intrest articles. In a previous edition, they highlighted people who were born in the area and made a name for him or herself. One of the people calls himself Sultan Of Sleaze is in the porn industry and released Pam Andersons (I believe), sex video tape. He has been on larry king live, ect. This is a letter to the Editor regarding this article, printed in the Sept 2006 edition of the magazine
To the editor:
I was very disapointed to see the artilce entitled "The (self-proclaimed) sultan of Sleaze" [July 06]. Surely rochester magazine could find someone to feature who is contributing to society in a healtful way. In a sense, it seems you are glorifying someone who "reigns as king in one corner of the world's fastest-growing industry (porn)." Is that an image we want to portray in ROchester?
Pornography has become an addiction to many men, is the basis for sex related crimes in many cases and had broken up many marriages. There are many Rochester Residents and former area residents that ahavecontributed to the betterment of society, please feature them instead.
