I'm taking Jane Wynn's jewlery class this weekend at Valley Ridge Art Studio.

That is, if I can get there.

The flooding in Iowa and Wisconsin are cramping my plans.

Valley Ridge sits in the middle of a corn field, on a bluff, in the middle of fucking no-where. All roads that lead to my parents place are either closed, flooded, or have a tornado through.

I think I have found an alt. way. Will make the complete decision come tomarrow. Come hell or high water.

I guess there is a lot of truth to that statement.

But I didn't know Wisconsin had flooding. All I have been hearing is about Iowa and SE Minnesota.

Have fun. I think I would like a class like that. I like shiny things.

Actually they are the ugly stepsister to Iowa. According to my parents, most of the roads near them (and where I need to go), are closed.

I can tell you that I 35 is perfectly clear in Iowa. I saw flooded fields and some rivers over the banks, but I had NO CLUE that Iowa was a disaster area until I got back down to southern Iowa and turned on the news. It's more driveable than the news indicates, because I ended up off the road to get gasoline in dinky little towns periodically.

Hey! Glad you made the trip and are back home in Texas, safe and sound. I looked at the map, and if I take an alternative route, and bypass most of the small towns, I'll do fine.

xoxo

btw: the photos JerribearRN posted of you, are FANTASTIC. HOn, you look GREAT

Hahaha, that's after driving like a mutha up to your neck of the woods and almost all the way back in 3 days. I waved at you at the turn off towards your town.

I AM going to come back, though. It's exotic and different from where I live, and I didn't get to see ANY of the people I wanted to see up there, including you.

yes

I would really like to do that, Kevin. I really like you, and I think you'd like me. If I have my husband along, I know you'd like him too.

You can ask some of my friends list. I go and MEET online friends and with me, what you see is what you get. I'm the same everywhere. I don't think my husband or I would be sorry to take the grand tour of the gay scene in your neck of the woods, either. It's not like we didn't go to gay bars in our flaming youth: ) We don't drink, but we do like to people watch (and dance.) We may be straight, but we aren't narrow. You could have sent me a CD last year. While I listen to what I call Old Fart Music periodically, I listen to new stuff more. When you think of 53 year old broads, I'm not the typical old battleaxe you think of when you think about my age. Age is just a number and I am in REAL touch with my inner 9 year old:)

It's a done deal, then...next time I am up there, we're visiting!

YOU!

I've always hung with an older crowd, even back in high school. My friends were seniors or in college, and I was a freshman. This has spilled over into my adult life.

What I enjoy about you is your brutal honesty, perspective on nursing (which is funny, truthful, and fresh), and how you are the "mom" on the internet.....

...Sorry about not sending a mix cd your way last year. Not sure why you were not on that list--- I DO know you got the unedited letter-cause your on that list for sure. *note to self*: cd this year, send one to Sheryl.

I'll never be able to thank you enough for all the support you gave last year with the "Allan" situation. It ment the world to me.

I've met people off the internet in real life before, talked to them on the phone ect. 99.9% of the time, the relationship has blossumed (spelling?) because of it. The exception was back in 2001, which just didn't work out exactly..... but that is another story for another time 8-).

YES. We must meet. I've never been to Texas, you've never been here. We will figure something out.
Thank you for being a super friend!
