I finished reading the novel "The Myth of you and me" by Leah Stewart. This, like several books in my library, stuck out at a thrift store, and decided to come home. One goal for 2008, is to fishish a book a month. For there are several on the shelves that I havn't finished.

The novel "the myth of you and me" recounts the story of Cameron (female), who finds herself caring for an English Professor. During her time as caretaker, a letter arrives from her best friend whom she had a falling out ten years prior. Cameron decides to take no action. Her professor dies, and leaves her a final task-take a wraped package to her friend Sonia. Thus starts a journey to find Sonia, confront why they had a falling out, and revisit her past.

Obviously this novel hit home on many levels, Kara, for starters. Which is why I was intrigued by the book. Leah Stewarts writes poetic, and phropheticly and makes many profound statements that I couldn't help but recognise. Although the novel may or may not be a true story, it can be assumed at least, there is meaning and understanding within the 276 pages. Camerons journey is drawn out and complicated, with the conclusion more baffeling than the main plot. In fact the novel doesn't solve anything, nor at the end gives any more understanding to where or what this all means. This left the reader baffeled and somewhat mislead.

Regardless that I found the book to be a little flat, there are notes and sections underlined, which obviously commands another reading. "Are you telling me there are moments in your life that you can pinpoint, you can look back on and say, "This is the turning point; this is where everything changed?"

Definately brain food, if nothing more.

And in fact, a basis for my own novel and experiences, once I get around-to-it!
