During nursing school, I was informed that I would be a professional.

Each day, I view grown Adult men in suits, in accordance to the dress policy, walking the halls.

As americans, the age of adulthood is 18. As we grow older, wisdom is to grow, we are adults, and childhood behaviors are no long accepted.

Which is why, I find the fact that the mens locker room, and from conversations, the womans as well, to be a pig pen is ironic. For a community of health-care workers who pride themselves on sterile technique, and keeping work-out equipment clean, that these same individuals leave towels laying around.

The problem has gotten to the extreme, that I was on the verge of voicing my concerns. I'm sick of walking into the shower, or the locker room to be bombarded by a pile of used towels laying around.

I must of not been the only one.

As of last night, there has been well written signs informing the locker room guests to please clean up after themselves. It should go without saying, however when your working with highschool mentality of 40 year old men... it goes without saying...

The locker room is PLASTERED by them... about every 2 feet.

Interesting...

I have seen some towels in the locker room where they shouldn't be, but it doesn't seem to be nearly as extreme as the men's locker room. I truly can't understand why people think it is SO HARD to pick up their towel!

Good to see you yesterday!

Loved seeing you yesterday as well! Your fabulouse.

Actually, I heard that the womans locker room is worst than the mens... but obviously you have first hand experience on that! 8-)

I don't understand why it is hard to pick up after yourself either!!!

What's even more frightening is the refrigerators in the break rooms of health care professionals.

Not sure about your station, but if the station I work on is any indication, I am not at all surprised that the locker rooms are a pig stys. I never ceases to amaze me how "grown adults" can let a work place, aka hospital, get so messy, and not give a darn.
I keep threatening myself with getting a new name tag that says Maid.
Glad to hear the gym is finally acting. Now hopefully they follow through.
Hugs, Jon
