Ignorance

Went to a scrapbook store today, that is located in Rochester. I went about collecting a pile of stuff to purchase, and was over near where there were some lady's having lunch, and couldnt happen to overhear there conversation. One of them were talking about the virus in China the "Sar" virus, and having one of the cases here at Mayo. She made a comment that wondered why that person was even over there... and then made a comment that the isoalted virus came from Monkeys.. and so did "AIDS"... which really sparked my intrest.. and she continued that they eat them over there, and that they are all over... and implied by her vocal tone that, that was wrong...

It took willpower not to mention anything, but I was quite upsett about what I heard... obvisosly this person is very tunnel visioned in her thoughts as well as uneducated. I couldnt believe what I heard...

I'm having quite a problem adjusting to the us, our materialism and how BIG everything is over here...
