The rains came Saturday.

Over the radio, on Saturday night/Sunday Morning, we were informed that smaller cities were being evacuated.

The last count of rainfall was aprox. 9-10 inches in Rochester. Although the water is slowly receeding, there is supposed to be rain untill late Thrusday, Friday morning.

I have had at least 60+ gallons of water in my basement. This is how much I have wet vac'd out. As far as damage is concerned, it could of been alot worst. The carpret was destroyed, and I'm sure there will be more damage once the water is completely out, and I'm able to figure out what the hell to do.

My Massive Lego collection is intact, and I was able to move most antique crap to higher ground. Currently I'm awaiting a phone call from the electrical dude to come and make sure I have no electrical damage. I'm actually alot better off, than others, and it sounds worst than it is. I always wanted an indoor pool, and was planning on redoing the basement anyway.

Inclosed, behind the cut, are photos, although it may be hard to tell what the hell your looking at!

Is that a LAKE in your basement? Sure looks like a lake to me! Being in a part of the country where flooding is endemic, I have seen worse. However, that doesn't mean it doesn't totally suck for you. I can just imagine the extra work and the extra expense.

Actually its my new indoor swimming pool. Do you like?

Right now, its just waiting for it to dry out. Then the real mess will start! FUN all around.

Not to mention, I'm going to have to buy a few goats to keep my grass trimmed.

Oh the memories that brings back. You definitely have me sympathies. Hopefully it isn't much beyond the carpets that will need replacing. *fingers crossed*
