Platteville high school enrolls 500 students. It is located in a small southwest college town, and am I proudly to annouce I am one of there alumni.
Fed up with the school lunch program, which according to students lacks nutrition and variety, the students organized among themselves a protest.
How they organized, is still somewhat of a mystery. However they managed, the impact was impressive.
400 out of the 500 students PACKED his or her lunch for at least one day. Some ordered out subs and had them delivered to the high school.
Either which way, they made there point. They came together for a common goal. Attack the lunch lady.
I'm impressed.

Date: 2 May 2006 04:48 (UTC)I did my own sort of protest back in school. I just stopped eating school lunches after 7th grade. LOL....... They weren't horrible, but I wasn't really missing anything either. :p
Of course I would go home after school and pig out on everything and thus the reason for a diet now. :o
Hugs, Jon
