Pink Flamingo's
14 June 2024 17:21Went down a K-hole of thoughts last night, forgetting about the viewing of the Cult film "Pink Flamingo's."
I have had never seen it.
When I realized it, I had 15 minutes before show time to book it to the theatre. Thankfully I live close. I want to support the local art theatre, being under new owners has made it so much better.
There were a total of five single guys spread around the small venue. This just added to the absurdity and bizarreness of the film. Specially with the mostly frontal male nudity and sex scenes, which I was not at all prepared for. The well-known eating dog feces scene, was benign compared to these.
Didn't realize the 1970's film is a corner stone of queer theory along with the influence of the film to the community at large.
Glad I went.
