Tomorrow marks 20 years of my nursing career, as well as at my employer.
Not bad for a kid getting kicked out of nursing school, and taking the license boards not once, but twice. Always keeping up the good fight.
I shaved my head and face for that matter, laid out my suit, with a questionable bow-tie selection, and may need to revisit that tomorrow. Eric is going to take my new ID photo, that occurs every 5 years, which means it will turn out good.
Had a good talk with my mother this evening, and I couldn't ever thank her enough for her and my father's support through all of this, this journey thing. They have been with me through thick and thin.
What a journey it has been.
