My brother and I shared a room when we were kids. Dad had some fellows over he knew from the college and made us these swank bunk beds in a L formation. I of course had the top bunk. We had a tv set in the room, with CABLE (a big deal back then) and would spend the mornings on the bean-bag's Santa brought watching Nickelodeon, PBS, and as we got older game-shows.

Got sucked once again into the vortex of you-tube. Brought back fond memories of childhood, with Reading Rainbow, Sesame Street, and for the old skool kids in the house: Pinwheel, You can't do that on Television, and Today's special. Great clips of each of these on you-tube.

Also found Sonny and Cher's memorable appearance on David Letterman, and of course the prize of the evening Cher's Euology for Sonny Bono. Have to get as many points on ye old gay card.

This, this all spinning from trying to locate some Old School R.E.M.: specifically the songs "You are the everything" and "World leader pretend".

I have this box. Filled with newspaper articles, photos, work-nametags, letters, from the past 30 years. Specifically college and earlier.

Tonight wasn't the first, nor the last that I decided to sort through it. Ideally, they will all go in a scrapbook album/altered book-sorts. It just takes time. TIME, and a whole lot of FUCKING GUTS.

Opening old wounds, reflecting on the past can be a royal bitch sometimes. And I get o.k. I get it. I didn't have the best, nor the worst of childhoods. At least I have documentation.

Doing time on Rodeo drive PART 1

Came into work, thinking I would sit with the trach pt. Wrong ola. Alchoholic who went on a binge and fell down some stairs. Went boom. It happens.

He's alert and orientated, and wants to watch the news. LOVELY.

They are going to disect this whole ordeal (the Virgina Tech Massacure) into an a centimeter of its life. Everyone will have a theory...

Oh, and Gerardo Rivera... your skills as a news broadcaster, are MUCH MUCH MUCH to be desired. And your mustache... NOT WORKING FOR ME EITHER.
