Terrence McNally's breathtaking play/movie "Love Valour Compassion" tracks a group of gay men through 3 milestones of summer: Memorial Day, Forth Of July, and Labor Day. With Labor day passing, so does yet another chapter, another period.
Its gotten mighty cold here in Minnesota. Today is overcast and chilly. Must take down the window air conditioner and seriously think about preparing for the inevitable winter, which soon will be afoot.
Still have this cold. Although its on the mend. The wierd thing is that Wild Cherry Pepsi is making it all better. Odd as it may seem, its my drug of choice lately.
Last night at D and E's, I got a little tipsy. Then made the mistake of going to the Ultra Lounge (Rochesters seudo gay bar), and stayed about 15 minutes. Enough time to have Tony AKA Lobster tell me I'm fucked up. It didn't dawn on me till about an hour later who it was, and what the fuck was he doing in Town. Once he stated the obvious, it was a sign I should get out of dodge.
The "Him" in the previous post referred to John. A guy I dated off and on for 3 years. AT D and E's we watched a sex therapy show in which 2 guys talked abotu dating off and on for 3 years, and it struck. I started to miss him, and was upset that it has been 3 years we havn't talked.
Had a dream about Dave calling me, and wanted me to come over for a dinner that was just about ready to serve. I told that bitch off.
GOing to lay like a piece of brocolli all day. Work in the studio. About it.
