I'm a goodwill whore.
Never pass up a chance to rummage through someones elses "garbage" to find that special treasure so dear.
Sometimes, to you think an object, once lost from ones posssion, finds it's way back to you, as a reminder, as a sign, to be yours forever
In grade school, for a christmas gift, Shaun Tandon gave me a paper back entitled "the cat ate my gymsuit" by Paula Danzier. Its a book regarding a teenage girl who thinks of herself as fat, ugly, and unimpowered...that is, untill a new english teacher comes into her life, and turns her world upside down. I had it when I was younger, probably lost it in the moves and trails of my journy, but found a copy today, that someone took and made a homemade book cover for. It brought a smile to my face...
and as I brought it back to my apt in La Crosse, I flipped through and chuckled at one of the last sentenses...
"I no longer think I am a blimp, but a helium ballooon..."
