One More Night

I'd love to sit down with the individuals or committee who decides hospital policy and procedure and have a candid dialoge on where they can take there meetings, three piece suits, star-bucks and SUV'S. The reality of it is, it is quite impossible to function at the bedside without cutting corners and being extremly profecient on time-management skills.
Worked with a pediatric nurse last night, who was barely able to hack it on the floor, and the kicker-she's been a nurse for 20+ years. Seriously, the Peds floor should be a closed unit, and this isn't the first example of why that should be so.
Tonight will be another wash-rinse-repeat version of the previous nights. Soon it will be over.
I discovered last night that I have a vacation day for my birthday. ROCK ON!!! Previouse years I have declined to take vacation because getting time off during the holiday season is impossible.... and this year, I have it off. KICK ASS!
I should finish off my cup of coffee and return to whense I came.. the bed.
