thirteenrocksThere is a reason for every happening in the reality as I know of it. Sometimes its known, sometimes its not. Yet a reason.
I realised today, moreso than ever, that family is what you make of it. Family is not confined to DNA bonding, blood lines. Family is who is important in your life. Who you share your life with, who supports you, whose there for you. You are all of family.
Words can not describe my feelings towards all the well wishers and birthday greetings I got today!
Although I turned 29 *gasp*, and will continue to lie and say I am 30, it was by far my BEST birthday EVER!!
Four years ago to the date, started a tornado of wind and debri than in retrospect turned this kansas girl around into the techno-color world she finds herself today. The black and white version leading up to the great twister of 2001 can be found here. Honestly, as long as the zoloft is comming in, I'm over that hurdle. People come into your life for a season, a reason, or a lifetime.
I spent the first part of the day working on constructing a chruch equiped with enough stain glass like windows to make Notra Dam green with envy, out of legos. imyaj The more I hang out with her, the more I find that we both have walked the same trail through this forrest, and we have more in common than what we thought. Her gift was not only nurishing, yet unique, creative, and well thought out. What better in a hetic world, that give the gift of time. For time is precious, time runs out, and time is all we have.
And looking into the future, there will be more bumps in the road, more hurdles to crawl over, and more seasons, and more birthdays. yet I am a survior, and I will continue survive, with my family in suit, cheering each other on.
