I'm so glad you have chosen the career of watching our inmates, while they are cuffed and shackled to the hospital bed. You have been extremly helpful by sitting in the corner, eating our food in the kitchen, and keeping the pt awake for all hours of the night.
Please don't ask me stupid questions that inflict on my nursing judgement. Don't ask "He's not hooked up to an IV, is that ok.?", because that is my concern and not yours. Remember your job is to make sure that the pt doesn't pick the lock, leave his room, go down 9 floors, and escape only wearing a hospital gown, while probably still being chained to his bed, OR that he jumps out the shatter proof glass, and land on the 3rd floor of the hospital, probably dead, thus giving you job insecurity cause its one less inmate you need to watch.
