Labor Day Weekend
Trying to mutter something of merit this holiday weekend, which has had its twists and turns from the git.
For starters, I was planning on visiting the parental units, that was until I remembered I told Judy I would help with the sale. Judy called me on Thursday, to explain the mission at hand. Dealing with the Stamp collection. Stamp a palooza.
Stamp collecting is something I know nothing about. Neither did Judy, who reached out to a Stamp Company, and is sending the collection to them, to hopefully buy.
The collection. The collection consisted of Albums, first issued envelopes and collectable stamps purchased from this Stamp Company, loose stamps, and envelopes with stamps on them.
Yesterday, I spent most of the day going through the collection and organizing. I filled two paper boxes, full of brand new, out of the tissue paper envelope, with sometimes a reciete, like it was when purchased, of brand new, stamps. Like the sticky ones you mail a letter with. There was probably 2,000 worth of stamps, in those boxes.
The company had instructions to how to ship. My anal-ness and detailed orientation, was given this fun task. Today I went and spent the day, boxing up the collection to get shipped. Each box had to be numbered out of how many total. It was a process, and since I didn't sleep well, I had a plan by morning of my attack.
We filled boxes that were 2x2 square. They were fairly good size. 2 feet mind you. 2 feet.
And I boxed up 12 of them. TWELVE. Of STAMPS. Stamp A PALOOZA.
I'll have to post photos to Flickr.
