Much like most mornings, I arrived home, unlocked the back door, and walked into the bungalow. I live alone, with a spoiled phat cat, which why, when I saw someone standing at the stairs, it surprised me. Standing there, acknowledging the situation for what it was, not shocked, but pure acceptance.
It was myself. Preparing to leave.
A rare occurance, which in recent months has become quite the normal activity, if such a thing exists, which I don't think it does, around these parts.
A ritual was held. Glasses were exhanged, I gave my other self identification, some petty cash, and a few credit cards.
We knew we would meet again, quite soon.
AND THAT... is how my entire summer has been going.
