April Showers
22 April 2007 16:08Good intentions started out the day. Going to tackle the task I havn't had time to conqure-the yard work. Raking, and dealing with the leaves from the fall that never got taken care of before the first snow fall.
Made SMALL progress on the backyard, prior to having a conversation with the neighbors, and a well received unexpected lunch date with Miss
imyaj. The neighbors behind me, are the ones I talk to the most, and somewhat keep an eye on me. Heather hails from the land down under, with husband Blaine and Andrea the 11 year old esq. Great people, Heathers a little flakey, and Blaine-I just feel there is a story there. At any rate, Blaine wants to replace some boards on the fence that is mine, but also on their property. Took measurements, and went to homo-depot for lumber.
Now I Drive a 2003 honda civic, 2 door. That is what the papers say. Its actually a station-wagon. Don't tell anyone. Felt really butch buying lumber, loading into said station wagon, and then drove home with half of it sticking out.
Then the rain came in. Followed by the winds. Any chance of doing yard-work has been washed away. Need to sweep a few rooms, and get a chance to work in the kitchen. Still need to get groceries.
Finished watching "I saw the Mermaids singing", which was highly recommended by Allan. Great flick, a little odd, and I'm confused somewhat on the endeding, but there is a good point to be had. Independent films are the best. Incidently the title comes from a beloved poem "The love song of J. Alfred Profrock" by T.S. Elliot.
