The Alchamist
13 October 2006 05:23While traveling during 2003, I ran into Judd not once but twice. During our second encounter he mentioned the book "The Alchamist" by Paulo Coehelo.
Santiago (the central character) has a recurring dream of finding gold at the base of the pyramids of Egypt. He goes on a quest to full-fill this dream, a quest full of trials and tribulations-and eventually his dream comes true. A simple plot for a more complicated book which deals with destiny, fate, and events occuring for a reason. I ordered it while overseas, and it was admid the piles of bills, and random mail once I returned. It was read in 24 hours. I eat that shit up.
John and I dated for over 3 years, breaking up, getting back together. Maybe if our situations were differnt at the time, it would of been a better relationship. The timing wasn't right. Although I enjoy the intelectualism of Lon-the idea that he asked if I had any "regular" fuck-buddies was a huge turn off. Gary can cook like no-ones business, yet I find the intelectualism very discombobulated, and torn. There is also this ICU mentality thread that goes through his mind constantly that frankly I could do without. Although Dinner was great last night, it lacked any WOW factor... the person I have the most in common with on an intellectual level, Bill, I'm not physically attracted to, although I enjoy his company greatly and treasure his frienship and insight. Basically I'm FUCKED.
However, I'm UBBER excited about performing tonight. Some of my posse are comming down to watch, which makes all the world knowing your support staff is out there in the audience. I have to make a few small errons today: wig glue, black panties, and saline solution for my contacts. Need to track down a CD, and then hopefully get a nap in. Would LOVE to get Mr. Phat Borris in to the VET. Which should be a wild and crazy Trip. I wonder if they call him back to see the doctor, like a normal clinic visit: "Mr. Phat Borris Esquire the first, the Doctor will see you now!". I should put his sassy halloween costume on...
OH. Yeah. Forgot to mention: the insomnia gods are back.
