Recieved a chunky book yesterday from an art group I belong to, on the 12 days of christmas. If this doesn't throw up red flags, nothing will.

Art is interpretation, representation, and meaning. 98% of the pages are very scrapbooky, and simple. Anyone-even porkchop can glue an image on a piece of paper and call it art. My page on the 5 golden rings, looks much out of place, with the rest of them. I'm questioning my art, questioning my motives, questioning the final product.

I WATCH TO MUCH PROJECT RUNWAY! The execution, the vision, the image, the "story" is so important not only in a collection of clothes, or a single piece, but in artwork. What are you trying to say in your artwork? In your design? What is your commentary? The pages are not very editorial.

I take my muse to a dark place. I look at images and piece them together, or compile multiple objects, that represent that idea.

Needless to say, my last Tarot Card on the word "silence" is comming along great-although I can't find needle and thread. A big thanks to the LJ user who helped me out.

Ran over to Frank-n-Stien's rummage a rama this am and picked up 5 bookcases for the studio. I'm obsessed with moving the studio downstairs and the master bedroom to the loft. It is slowly being realised.
