What a weekend. IT was a triple header weekend of parties, Friday, Saterday, and Sunday. Each one enjoyable as the next. Specially with a round of "drag queen" croquet: (croquet in HEALS). It was quite fun.

At the party last night, a recently turned 21 y.o. had WAY to much to drink. Poor little lamb. As he was sleeping it off, us old folks started to talk about how life changes. Back when we were that age, we never gave it a second thought. We indulged. We could party 4 nights a week, get 2 hours of sleep, and do it again the next day. As we have gotten older, we are unable to do it. The thought of doing such a thing, recalls feelings of nausea. Also if we do decided to indulge, we are more likely to control ourselves, or make a more graceful exit.

I was a CAM whore this afternoon. My flowers are blooming. I am in LOVE, with the Iris's. Specially these odd colored ones. THey have been here since I moved in. My roses are starting to bloom..8-) I also found a great shot of a bird, who allowed me to get very close, and of course more before and after fence photos-this time near the garage. Enjoy

Tomarrow night, I will have to don on the scrubs and saunter into work. My week is done 8-(.

It will definately be an annual event. Although I wanted to get alot more done than what occured, and although I didn't have alot of time to do scrapbooking, or family history, or ebay, I did manage to get some things accomplished. THe major project of course was the fence which took alot longer than expected. There would of been NO WAY IN HELL, I could of done it on my own. One of the metal posts was burried in 3 feet of cement. IT took us hooking up a belt thing to a truck to pull it out. Most of the waste has been taken to the dumb, and I am quite pleased with the result.

Stupid Patrick and I had salvaged 2 oak pedastals out of house that was being demo'd. The pedastals needed some trim added to them where it was missing. I managed to use my table saw and match the pieces. Got one pretty much finished, and working on the other.

I'm a putzer, and although nothing major was accomplished, I did get a good start on some things. I ended up taking off the base boards off of the walls to be able to strip/stain/poly and restore.
3 down of about 5, million panels. I also picked out the color of paint for my dining room.... I can't complain. Been a week of learning about myself, others, as well as manual labor!
