Tonight it was a 24 year old, who promted the coffee meet up. Can't say I was super enthralled. Quickly realized that this wouldn't be a good match as we were on two different planets sitting less than 3 feet apart.
The painted fingernails and manicure just didn't add anything to a work orientated conversation that I just was not having. Girl, I worked all day, off the clock, let's talk about anything but that. Mmmkrrrr?
Gave myself a big gold star for saying "no" when he inquired about getting together for a smoke shesh. Thought about it hard, even to the point of stating that I had to run to the grocery store before any type of get-together would occur. I was happy to host. Yet I kept on coming around that I did not want to. It was 7 p.m., I have not been home, and I signed up to bring bars to the pot luck tomorrow and I needed to get to the store. Hell No.
Anything regarding my bachelor hood is a complete insult at 47 barely holding. I'm not convinced that I am always the problem. I'm on the active hunt to find some companionship. I've managed to hack down my friend list to a very small circle, trying to find other avenues to meet people. I might just need to focus on getting out more. Mr. Prince Charming, come out come out where-ever you are.
