Greetings and Salutations from HELL
Greetings and Salutations from purgatory, otherwise known as the VENT UNIT.
The Vent unit is a stoned ICU, usually I'm all over anything stoned, except when I float to a pseudo ICU, where I have no idea what the fuck is going on. This unit, should be closed to only nurses with ICU experience. I have none.
The last time I floated here was circa 2006ish. Roger, the male nurse who successfully got his RN license from a street vender, was working. Somehow, informing him, that I needed to leave the floor at 2300 to return to my unit to be charge, was translated in his mind, that I needed to go home and drink a 6 pack of beer. He SUCKED as a nurse, and his personal skills in relating to others was that of a pissed off ape. Rodger is a verified ASSHOLE.
I inquired about him, indirectly, because I noticed his photo wasn't posted with the rest of the staff. Did a house fall on his head? Did he DIE? Or did Santa finally run over him with his sled. Inquiring minds want to know. What I found out: he works downtown at the clinic because of disaplinary action. I PEED MY PANTS. KARMA is a motherfucker you ASSHOLE! HA HA HA
Of course, now that I successfully snowed my patient, and the crazy guy is sleeping, I'm being moved out onto the floor at 2300. NICE. So another float nurse from methodist, who REFUSES to be on the floor, and DEMANDS to be in a 1:1, can take my place. This requires me to NOT fucking help her at all. FUCK YOU. When did God give you the right, to choose your own assignment.
I was hoping for the night off. PHAT CHANCE.
