Moses and the mass exodus

As a friendly reminder, if a person is looking for another position, it is best to keep any and all activity under wraps. Don't be printing your resume out, and leaving it on the printer. Someone will find it.

Unbeknownst to nurse manager lady, there is another mass of nurses making plans on leaving.

Unfortunately, the mass is of less seniority, which won't help assist my decent of the seniority ladder-just make my work life, that much more a pain in the ass.

Because then we will be short staffed, followed by training in the newbies. Oh and then the fun really starts. Most of our new staff are young female grads. They get boyfriends, they get knocked up, they get married, and then they pop out a few kids and then leave.

Its a cycle.

And all cycles are, is time.

There will come a time, where I'm the senior staff. Nurse manager won't be nurse manager lady for ever. If you ask me, her time is limited at best.

I'm just passing the time...

I get a kick out of our senoirity list. It doesn't mean squat for me, but I am in the Top 10 on our station. Heck, I have to be in the Top 10 for Aides in the hospitals too. LOL... I beleive I am tops on the night shift. YIPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is the mass exodus in the water? Because we are having one too. As for senority, us old timers leave too. I am on the top of the list at our unit. But I am not planning on staying at my current work area forever. It is just too hard on an aging body. My manager does konw this as do my co-workers. You can work your way up. It does happen.

The "plan" is to stay put, and put my time in. I'm not interested in moving up the latter per se, because personally there needs to be a stripping and purging of upper management, but that is just me. Also I hate management with a passion, and I never ever play by the rules...
