thirteenrocksTonight my mother and I took a ride in my new car. It was actually fun. She recalled to me my childhood, on how we rode our bikes out to the "M" and then how it was smoothe sailing back home. How old homes had been torn down, and the like. It was peacefully and surreal-a preciouse moment.
As par for the course, I went through another box of my grandparents photos. I find it quite fun and reminicing as I look though those. Although deep down, a part of me want to borrow them, to copy as well as for genealogy reserach--we shall see.
My Grandfather died around Thanksgiving of 2002. After my Aunt and mother went through the house, an auction company came through and did a "buy out" of what was left. A part of me always wanted to go to the auction, to just see what was there-if anything out of pure curiosity. It just happens to be tomarrow.. on the 13th.. that his items are going to be sold at an auction, and I am going to go to it. It is going to be held in a small town in Muscoda, WI. There are somethings that I am looking for that were in the ad. His items are being sold with other families. I am hoping to stay for the whole thing, but unsure of how long it will go for. At anyrate I find it interesting that I will be going......
