Movies, Gay men, and Friday the 13th

Down time at the hospital can be a real bitch. A blessing and a curse. Thankfully I have a new addiction besides Livejournal: Netflicks.

Currently I'm addicted not only adding to my Queue, to the list of movies I have seen in my lifetime. Minus adult porn movies, my current rating is 239 movies. Average movie runs 2.5 hours, the amount of hours in a day... roughly 24 entire days spent watching movies. Impressed?

My movie tastes are as eclectic as my musical tastes. Ideally I enjoy a drama that's a little off center-bizzare type of film, are usually what I go to. With that being said: "Kermits Swap Years" and "Elmo's adventures in Grouch Land" are CLASSIC! *cough cough*

Tonight I'm taking care of my fourth OPENLY Gay patient. He's in his late 50's, in a mixed relationship, whose his partner took many glances at "ernie and the boys" (thank god they were not at full salute-could poke an eye out). What was adorable, was said Significant other, pushing his partners (my pts) mother down the hall in a wheel-chair. How precious.

Had a releaxing Friday the 13th. Did some meditation, and relaxed. Wonderful day, it was.

Kermit and the Muppets rock. :)
I really like their Christmas Carol.

Dude, I have 432 movies in my Netflix queue this morning, and I've rated 3099. In a good week, I can go though eight DVDs.

I have no life whatsoever...

We have a lot more openly gay patients around here. I guess because we're a tourist trap, and a more liberal area. Plus, we have a large gay community in Provincetown. I know you're pretty much in the Mid-West, where people often aren't so tolerant, is it better in the city?

As far as movies, there's one I really liked, that I'm sometimes afraid to recommend because it's a bit.... bizarre. But you might like it. It's 'Little Boy Blue' with Ryan Philippe. I originally rented it just to feast my eyes on him, but actually found the movie interesting, in a disurbing sort of way. Anyways, you might want to check it out.

Has Ernie ever been at full salute in front of a patient?
