I didn't think I would be still awake. Kind of happens. At least I am getting back to my "normal" routine. I got back to the house about 3:00p.m. Big thanks to
imyaj who helped me not only sort lego's, but helped me unload the car and took great care of Mr. Borris and the house. Love you!
Left Mom and Dad's tuesday morning. Drove the whole day. The only excitement was meeting a guy at a wayside who was 1,0000 years old, driving to the sale to find stuff to sell on ebay. Started to play a game in the car, I would write down all the differn't state license plates I saw. I think I got about 1/2 of the U.S. States. Stayed in Cadiz Kentucky. Woke up the next morning and made it into Gadsden, Alabama, and the start of the sale.
The drive through the mountains and the cumberland gap, was wonderful. Very steep but breathtaking. Got into Gadsden about 11:00a.m. to discover the sale started already (people were set up) after finding a room I went shoppin'. THe whole idea to go on the trip was to buy-stuff for me, for friends, and for ebay. I wasn't out per blood per se, yet I was out to buy. That was the whole reason to go on the road trip in the first place.
Did alright on the first day. At one of the sales 2 ladies pulled me aside and started to talk to me. They wanted to know if I was from MN. THey had been following me all day. They were from Ill, and out on an adventure. They didn't call themselves antique dealers but "Junker Piggies". Which I just loved. They thought it was crazy I was on the sale from MN and by myself. It didn't even bother me, or did I think twice of going with someone..... just they way I travel. Saw them off, and said we would meet up along the road..... spent the night with a headache in the hotel from the HEAT. It was DAMN hot out in the fields looking through alot of junk...
I swear the next beanie baby or cheap class I see, I will have to PUKE. Alot of crap, and some treasures...... To be continued....
