T-is for Travel, R-is for Road Trip, C is for Crazy
Sleep has once again come back to me, and helped me in my slumbar. I must of needed it, like food, water and shelter, as Thursday is nothing more remembered than soft pillows, a blanket, and for the most part uninterrupted sleep.
With as many places I have lived, been to, its hard for someone doing a biography, to nail down exactly where I was born, raised. I was born and raised in Platteville, Wi-a small college town near the iowa/illionis boarder. After High School, I lived in La Crosse, WI for 2 1/2 years. Moved back home for a month, and then moved to Dubuque, Ia. Dubuque is on the Mississppi river, 20 minutes from my parents house. After college, I moved to my present Location, Rochester, Mn. Ask me where I am from, chances are good, I'll say Dubuque-easier known and found on the map.
Returning back home this weekend. I havn't been to Dubuque in AGES, and going to spend some time with my parents. Each time I go back, I remember 2 events/things. My hometown is constantly changing. Buildings are torn down, erected, that I am sure someday I may not even recognise the town. They tore down the old 1900's high school a few years back. Gone. THe place where I had gone to school... gone. Although I am not looking forward to the 4 hour drive, I'm hoping no ghosts show up...... although me thinks a visit to the hospital (if able) to see the night shift folks, would be benefitial...
The second rememberance, was the FIRST time I came home. I must of been at La Crosse at the time... My parents took me out for fish, ran into alot of people I hadn't seen in a long time, and we spent the remainder of the weekend, talking, walking aroudn the town. They showered me with attention, affection, and interest. They ran out of the house when I got there. Excited to see me. That. Was. The. Last. Time.
Now, they say HI from the couch. My dad still believes I work in the operating room, and I have no contact with doctors. My mom still feels I should keep to myself, and not hang out with anyone I don't know (How can you make friends if you don't talk to strangers).
I'll return Late sunday night, or first thing Monday a.m. Work a three day power week, and then flying to Atlanta, driving to Athens for the weekend. Much looking forward to this flying adventure. Specially since I need to get the hell away from the WFMC. And since i absolutely HATE to fly (*grin*), its hard to persuade me to go anywhere that requires a plane ticket.
Got myself into too many Tip-in altered books. Although I have one done, and a few ideas on the other, I'll have to craft myself into a frenzy to get them all done. No worries![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
ineedcoffee, I'm bringing them with! Thought i had my head above water, but the chick who is hosting one of the tip ins, JUSt sent out information about it, and the page size is NOT standard, and she wants them back by the end of the month, as in 15 fucking days. Thanks for the advance notice.

Monday, June 27th, Leave Atlanta at 1048 A.M. Arrive at MSP 1222 p.m. Flight # Delta 1278T
Well I suppose, Pack up the car, and away we go...
